Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Overpeek handles information collected through www.overpeek.gg, the Overpeek application, account-linking and authentication flows, VOD review, community features, and related support or beta communications.

Information You Provide

Marketing and beta forms may collect your name, email address, Riot ID, rank, role, Discord handle, goals or notes, source page, and submission time. We send those submissions to the configured form destination, currently a Google Apps Script endpoint connected to a Google Sheet.

When you create or use an account, we collect an email address and password credential (the password is stored as a derived password hash, not as plain text), or the profile information you authorize through Discord. This can include your Discord user ID, username/display name, email address, avatar reference, OAuth scopes and token metadata.

Riot, RSO, and Match Information

If you link a VALORANT account, we may collect the Riot ID you provide, region or shard, Riot PUUID, account level, player-card references, rank/MMR and rating information, verification and synchronization times, and error or status information. The current product can resolve a submitted Riot ID through a configured Riot data provider; if Riot Sign On (RSO) is enabled, we will also process the authorization metadata and tokens needed to maintain that link.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect your Riot password. Match records can include match IDs, dates and duration, map, mode and queue, agent, outcome, scores, round events, player names or tags, PUUIDs, positions, kills, deaths, assists, damage, economy, utility, rank and other statistics returned by the supported Riot data services.

VODs, Coaching, and Community Content

If you use VOD review, we collect the video file and its filename, size, duration, dimensions and processing status. Processing can create storage objects, transcoded playback files, frame and OCR observations, round synchronization data, match links, generated clips, combat or utility evidence, coaching reports, AI insights, review history, feedback, preferences and technical diagnostics.

If you publish a community clip, rating, comment, squad or Discord share, we process the content and account information needed to display and moderate it. A clip or review that you deliberately share to the community or Discord may be visible to other people. Do not upload or share another person's video, voice, name, gameplay or personal information unless you have permission and a lawful basis to do so.

Technical and Security Information

We receive ordinary technical information needed to operate and secure the service, including IP address, browser and device information, user-agent, request and error logs, timestamps, session identifiers, CSRF/security information and authentication activity. Browser sessions currently record a normalized user-agent and IP address so that active sessions can be shown and protected.

We use session cookies and related browser storage to keep you signed in and protect requests. We do not store passwords in browser cookies. See our Cookie Notice for the marketing site's current third-party scripts and cookie posture.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts; authenticate users; link, verify and refresh Riot data; retrieve and synchronize match history and MMR; receive, store and process VODs; produce coaching reports and recommendations; provide community and Discord sharing features; send transactional account emails; respond to support; enforce quotas and service rules; prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; improve reliability and the product; and meet legal obligations.

We may use feedback and de-identified or aggregated service measurements to improve Overpeek. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your Riot credentials for advertising, and we do not use your VODs or match history to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing or other high-impact opportunities.

AI Processing

Some match, round and VOD review features send relevant inputs to the AI processing provider selected for that operation so that Overpeek can generate structured coaching insights. Inputs can include match facts, round events, coaching preferences, review prompts and, for VOD review, selected video media or derived frame context. A provider is not necessarily used for every feature or review, and we send data only to the provider needed for the operation being requested.

AI output is an assistive coaching result, not a guarantee or professional determination. The applicable AI provider's processing, retention and international-transfer practices are also governed by its own terms and privacy documentation.

Service Providers and Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the service, respond to your choices, or comply with law. Categories of recipients include hosting and deployment providers (the marketing site is deployed through Vercel), database and infrastructure providers, S3-compatible object storage for VOD media, queue and processing infrastructure, Riot Games and configured Riot data services, Discord for sign-in or community sharing when you choose it, Resend for account email delivery, Google Apps Script/Google Sheets for the beta-interest form, analytics or site-optimization scripts described in the Cookie Notice, and configured AI providers.

A provider may process information in a country different from yours. We do not rent or sell your information to data brokers. We may disclose information to professional advisers, authorities or another party when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing or similar business transfer.

Retention

We keep each category of information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including account operation, an active review or community share, security, dispute handling, legal compliance and backup recovery. Different systems and providers can have different backup and log lifecycles; when information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it subject to legal, security and backup requirements.

Deleting your account is available from Overpeek settings and is intended to remove your account and owned product data. Unlinking a Riot account stops that link and future synchronization, but may not immediately remove derived records that are retained for security, legal or operational reasons. A request to delete a VOD removes it from the product workflow, subject to processing already in progress, backups and legal exceptions.

Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update available account settings, unlink a connected Riot account, sign out, change an email password where enabled, manage notification preferences, delete your account, and control whether you share community or Discord content. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, or object to or withdraw consent where applicable.

Send a request to hello@overpeek.gg. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect an account. You may have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. The exact rights and response deadlines depend on where you live and the role Overpeek has under applicable law.

International Transfers

Overpeek and its service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, we use an appropriate mechanism and contractual or technical safeguards.

Children

Overpeek is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Do not use the service or submit a form if you are under 13 or below the minimum age required where you live. If you believe a child provided information, contact hello@overpeek.gg so we can investigate and delete it when required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access controls, protected sessions and scoped access to user-owned media. No website, database, provider, storage bucket or transmission is perfectly secure. Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, or sensitive information through a marketing form or community post.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service, providers or legal requirements change. We will post the latest version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice or choice where required.
